Can you get me the same regular weekly domestic cleaner?

Yes - We aim to find you a regular cleaner who you can meet before they start to clean your home. We find that customers feel more comfortable if they know who will be cleaning their house and also it gives you an opportunity to go through your cleaning requirements with cleaners.

What if my cleaner leaves or I am not happy with the cleaner who is cleaning my house?

If you are ever dissatisfied with the cleaner who is allocated to you simply request a new one. We will then start to look for a replacement cleaner for you. If there is a period of time between cleaners where we are looking for a suitable replacement we will credit your agency fees for the missed visits.

Who employs the cleaners who work with Squeaky Kleen clients?

All cleaners who work with Squeaky Kleen do so on the understanding that we are a domestic cleaning agency who find clients for domestic cleaners and domestic cleaners for clients. Cleaners work with clients on a self-employed part time basis and when they apply they do so knowing that this is their status. Cleaners are responsible for their own tax and nationial insurance contributions.

Can cleaners do ironing as well as domestic cleaning?

Yes. We can find domestic cleaners who provide ironing services as well. However, we do ask that you stipulate this when you first register with us to find you a cleaner. Not all cleaners love ironing and some hate ironing so it is important that we give cleaners who want to apply for your cleaning job as much information about the work as possible to prevent wasting your valuable time and cleaners time too.

Do you provide insurance cover?

Yes. We provide cover in the event of damage to your property (subject to standard insurance excess) and also cover against injury to your domestic cleaner whilst cleaning your property. Our insurance cover does not cover minor breakage and you should bear in mind that accidents occasionally do happen so if you would not claim on your insurance for something then it probably is not covered on Squeaky Kleens insurance cover policy. Insurance cover is in place for major damage / breakage and in the event of accident or injury to cleaners for your peace of mind.

How much do you charge?

Squeaky Kleen charges between £9.50 and £10.00 per hour (area dependent). This includes agency fees and payment to your domestic cleaner per hour. We do not have any hidden fees and our payment system is very straightforward and automated.

Is there a minimum number of hours per week?

Yes. The minimum number of hours per week you can book a cleaner for with squeaky kleen is 2 hours per week, however this is the bare minimum and you should not expect a four bedroom detached house to be cleaned thoroughly with 2 hours cleaning per week. We recommend the following number of hours per property type:

1 /2 bedroom flat cleaning - 2 hours cleaning per week

2/3 bedroom terraced house cleaning - 2.5/3 hours cleaning per week

2/3 bedroom semi detached house cleaning - 3/3.5 hours cleaning per week

3/4 bedroom detached house cleaning - 3.5/4 hours cleaning per week

4 bedrooms or more - call us for advise regarding the number of recommended cleaning hours

Is there a minimum agreement

Yes. Because all businesses have set up costs involved with dealing with a new client we do have a minimum 3 month agreement which barely covers our costs of finding a cleaner. In the event that we do not allocate a cleaner to you for initial contact / interview within two weeks if you decide to cancel we will charge only a cancellation fee of £25.00.

Can you provide access to other home services - for example : handyman services or tradesman services?

Yes. However, we do not provide these services ourselves. We certainly know a man who can. We can look for free quotes for you from tradespeople of all types.

How long does it take to find a domestic cleaner?

We aim to allocate clients a domestic cleaner within two weeks however sometimes demand outstrips supply. We do not compromise quality to allocate unsuitable cleaners hastily to clients as this simply causes problems for cleaners, clients and our admin staff.
